We believe the climate should never come second to fashion. And we believe in taking responsibility and real action towards creating a more sustainable business.
We are proud to announce that GANT has signed the Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in February 2019, joining other industry leaders. With this, we express our efforts and commitments in implementing the goals of the Paris Agreement and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action is a commitment for climate action – convening all fashion stakeholders to develop a unified position on climate – including the vision to achieve net-zero emission by 2050. As a global company, GANT aims to be part of a global partnership for climate action and strongly supports this holistic commitment jointly made by global leaders in the fashion industry.
By signing this charter, GANT is committing to a 30% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and to participate in working groups convened by the UN Climate Change with other signatories to develop roadmaps for each of the commitments in the charter.
